IRS officer guides UPSC aspirants on WhatsApp...

Warangal: Majority of the Civil Services aspirants, mainly those from rural background face difficulty in cracking the exam due to lack of proper guidance during the preparation. Keeping this in view, a 2016 batch Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer, Sadu Narasimha Reddy, who is now working as the Additional Commissioner, Central GST, Vishakapatnam, has created a ‘WhatsApp’ group named ‘Competitive WGL’ to help candidates who are preparing for Union Public Service Commission and other competitive exams from erstwhile Warangal district..

Speaking to Telangana Today over phone, Reddy, who is a native of Khammam district, said that aspirants of different competitive exams mainly Civils can join this group for study material and guidance from toppers.

“Many of those who cracked the Civil Services have joined this group with the intension of guiding the students. We, on behalf our group, also conduct mock interviews, workshops, lecture sessions, and provide guidance to appear for the written exam,” he said, adding that similar groups in Khammam district and Kakinada of East Godavari in Andhra Pradesh received overwhelming response from aspirants which include engineering and medical students who are preparing for UPSC.

“Since its creation in January last week this year, nearly 55 candidates including those who cracked the exam joined the group meant for erstwhile Warangal district. My appeal to those who are serious about cracking the Civil Service exam is to join the group and get guidance free of cost,” he added.

“We have recently conducted mock interviews for 15 candidates those who are appearing for the Civils interview in Hyderabad,” Narasimha Reddy said adding that he was one among of those who had created ‘Indian Telugu Civil Servants Association’.

“It is the informal group of Civil Servants hailing from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana working in different parts of India and abroad. The idea was conceived on Nov 9, 2006 by Telugu Civil Servants of 80th Foundation Course at LABASNAA, Mussorie. The association uses web-based Google Group named ‘ITCSA’ as the major platform for interaction among members.

Aspirants can interact with ITCSA members through mail to: itcsa2006@gmail.com, itcsa2006@gmail.com.
