Warangal Urban: Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) Mayor Gunda Prakash Rao will visit each and every division in the corporation limits to get first hand information about the problems being faced by the denizens of the civic body as part of a programme called ‘Nagara Bata’ which is schedule to be launched on August 3 in the city..
Speaking to the media at his office here on Thursday, Prakash Rao said he had decided to embark on Nagara Bata with a view to understand the problems of the people and ensure that they are resolved at the earliest. “I would like to speak to the people directly by reaching out at their door step to know their problems and take measures to resolve them after discussing with the officials,” he added. He said that the K Chandrashekar Rao-led State government had been according special priority to Warangal, the second biggest city in the State. “While Rs 900 crore was sanctioned for the development of the city by the State government in the last three years, I urged the government to release Rs 100 crore more as early as possible to take up several development works in the city,” he said adding that the GWMC would develop the junction at the Warangal railway station.
