He was inaugurating the POCSO and family court buildings on the district court premises here on Saturday. Justice Chauhan said the High Court had written to the government for allotment of 10 to 15 acres of land for construction of an Advocates’ Academy. The Chief Justice said people should be aware of their constitutional responsibilities as well as their rights. Development of the State was possible only with coordinated efforts by all sections including employees, advocates and others. On the pendency of cases in Karimnagar court, he said 762 civil, 20 criminal and 80 other cases were pending in last 10 years. Chief Justice wanted judges and lawyers to take steps to clear pending cases on a fast track mode. There was a possibility to settle cases through Lok Adalat, he said. He said construction of a single court complex in Karimnagar would be taken up as various courts were functioning from different buildings.
