According to the ACB officials, one Kokku Ashok, a resident of Narsampet, had approached the ACB since the commissioner and junior assistant had demanded Rs 10,000 from him to issue house age certificate. Adilabad: Endowments and Forest Minister, Allola Indrakaran Reddy, said focus was being laid on achieving a huge margin as TRS was set to win Adilabad Parliament Constituency. Hyderabad: Hopes are bright for Hussainsagar, with some unconventional elements — including yeast and photogenic bacteria — coming together to slowly inject some life back into the lake. Over the last six months, solutions containing lactic acid, photogenic bacteria, yeast and so on were used to improve the water quality and arrest algal blooms apart from bringing down the foul smell emanating from the water body. What more, experts found the results satisfactory. It all began last April when Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) roped in NACOF, a Bengaluru-based company, to take up bioremediation of the lake for a period of six months. A committee, comprising experts from TSPCB, EPTRI and others, was constituted to evaluate and monitor the treatment process. Having found it satisfactory, the committee now recommended that the contract be extended till April this year. .
